Pam HelmlyPam Helmly, Founder & Chief Science Officer

Clinical nutrition expert and industry-recognized leader in supporting neurotransmitter imbalances


Pam brings a 35-year knowledge base of clinical nutrition with a focus on treating the "whole patient" rather than just symptoms or one single biomedical test. She oversees all aspects of patient care, laboratory findings, formula determinations and technology. Pam's main areas of focus include cellular nutrition, improved gut integrity and balanced brain chemistry. Having completed well over 84,000 neurological urinalysis profiles, Pam is a leader in the field of changing the brain to improve mood, focus, behavior, enhance sports performance, and aid in the treatment of eating disorders.

Pam has spoken at numerous industry and academic gatherings on topics like improving physical outcome for professional athletes through nutrition, women's health issues, nutrition in pharmaceutical settings, PTSD and decreasing ADD/ADHD/ spectrum-like symptoms through nutritional intervention. Pam has also served on the NCAA professional panel for the "Project Yes" Program as a nutritional consultant and was featured on Stay Fit America with former WNBA player Fran Harris on the Fox Network.

Previously, Pam acted as the Wellness Director for Peoples Pharmacy in Austin, TX and as a Health Care Administrator for Sanus Healthcare in Houston, Texas. She began her career as an undergraduate in 1981 doing research at Texas Children's Hospital in a study on Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Pam is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Scientific Nutrition.

 

 

Jessica WilhelmJessica Wilhelm, Clinical Team Director

Nearly two decades of serving clients through functional and integrative nutritional solutions


Jessica embodies health and wellness in her daily life and has a passion for educating inquiring minds. With a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from The University of Texas at Austin and more than 17 years of continuing education and working in the Functional and Integrative Nutrition/Wellness industry – her education, experience and compassion for helping others easily transfers to meet the unique health challenges of her clients. Empowering people to make informed health decisions is vital. It is important that each person she works with understands what their test results mean, how they correlate to their current health, and guide them to the best nutritional options to feel their best.

Having the ability to plan, strategize, organize and inject humor to keep it funhave all been instrumental in her success. During her eight years as the Executive Director of Wellness at a compounding pharmacy, she led her teams with clear communication of the structured vision, building solid levels of trust.

As a competitive fitness enthusiast and mother of three, she's aware of how challenging it can be to get fit and stay healthy, but also achieve productivity in her professional work. She has competed in several kettlebell competitions and enjoys teaching the sport to ladies in her boot camp group. She is a member of a local running group that competes in races year-round and has recently discovered the love of obstacles courses that challenge her fitness ability. If she's not in the gym or running, you will find her cheering for her kids on the side-lines most weekends!

 

Natalie CollierNatalie Collier, Clinician

Master of Science in Nutrition with a background in Wellness Counseling


Inspired to heal her own health challenges, Natalie started working in the wellness field in 2005. She is passionate about helping patients achieve balance in their life through diet, movement, supplements and supportive self-care practices. Natalie's philosophy emphasizes anti-inflammatory dietary choices, ayurvedic medicine principles, professional grade supplements and herbs to support the body into balance. She believes that everyone's body is different and utilizing health testing can provide direction for an individual's wellness plan. Her goal is to empower patients with the knowledge and tools to help them live their best life.

Natalie received her Master of Science in Nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Her education included a strong study of science, ancient medicine, holistic nutrition, complemented by training in teaching and nutrition counseling. She is also a graduate of American University and is a Health Coach thru the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, NY.

When not in the office, Natalie enjoys inventing healthy recipes, yoga, nature walks with her dog, reading and traveling.

 

Jessie VanoJessie Vano, Director of Laboratory Services

A biologist with expertise in specialized lab testing, analytics and quality assurance


Jessie has the crucial responsibility of monitoring and overseeing Wellnicity test samples. She also serves as the liaison for our clients and the independent laboratories we contract with for analysis of test results. She has a background in dried blood spot analysis and processing various tissues and specimens over the course of five years. Jessie earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a focus in Zoology from Texas A&M University. Her passion for a holistic approach to wellness has led her to help others discover their path to optimal health.

Jessie enjoys training dogs, practicing yoga, visiting the beach, and painting.

Sara WestgateDr. Sara Westgate

9 Texas Super Doctor awards published annually in Texas Monthly magazine


Dr. Westgate provides state-of-the art diagnosis and treatments for adult neurological conditions and has a variety of special interests. Dr. Westgate's practice is committed to spending the time necessary to provide compassionate, personal care every patient deserves. Her high standard of care has earned her nine Texas Super Doctor awards which are published annually in the December issue of Texas Monthly magazine.

Dr. Westgate is a neurologist who is trained to treat disorders of the nervous system, which include diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. She specializes in many different areas and offers a variety of services. She commonly treats patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathy, radiculopathy, strokes, epilepsy, dystonia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, attention deficit disorder (ADD), headaches/migraines, head trauma/brain injuries, and various forms of arm, leg, and neck pain.

 

Julia StricklerDr. Julia Strickler

Served as President of the Texas Association of Naturopathic Doctors


Dr. Strickler is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with expertise combining current scientific medical knowledge with the wisdom of ancient healing principles. She received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, which is rated as one of the best medical schools in the United States by the Princeton Review. In addition to her formal medical education, Dr. Strickler advanced her knowledge by also working at The Chopra Center in Carlsbad, California; The Texas Center for Biological Medicine in Dallas, Texas; and the Hawaii Naturopathic Retreat Center in Ke'eau, Hawaii. She has worked in numerous health clinics, including medical centers in rural Nicaragua and inner city Seattle, before moving to Austin, Texas where she practices at Peoples Pharmacy.

As a leader in the field of natural health sciences, Dr. Strickler is passionate about wellness. She served as President of the Texas Association of Naturopathic Doctors, as Public Health Advisor for a project in Nigeria, and donates her time serving patients at home and abroad. With her holistic perspective, she offers an in-depth understanding of integrative methods for maintaining and restoring health, with particular interest in complex and chronic conditions.

 

Rey XimenesDr. Rey Ximenes

Past President of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture


Dr. Ximenes is a multi-disciplinary pain management physician dedicated to the integration of modalities used to alleviate pain. He began his career in medicine as an anesthesiologist. His training includes general, cardio-vascular, neuro, and obstetrical anesthesia. Dr. Ximenes is board certified in interventional pain management, acupuncture, and naturopathy. He is the past President of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and a Board Member of the Texas State Board of Acupuncture.

Dr. Ximenes is well versed in the full complement of medication management techniques, as well as acupuncture, osteopathic manipulations, homeopathy, myofascial release, massage therapy, Tui Na, Qi Gong healing, nutritional counseling, herbal therapy, psychological counseling, exercise therapy/counseling Reiki, meditation, and many others.
