Vitamins for Carbohydrate, Sugar Cravings

Many people with noninsulin-dependent diabetes produce enough insulin, but their bodies do not respond to the action of insulin. This can result in frequent cravings for carbohydrates.

Carbohydrate cravings can also be an indicator of inefficiencies with the serotonin pathway, an important calming neurotransmitter.

Did you know that there are supplements that can support your blood sugar levels and support chemical pathways and in turn help reduce carbohydrate and sugar cravings?

  • Omega 820 (Fish Oil) will help with appetite or carbohydrate cravings as it also enhances insulin sensitivity.
  • 5-HTP, an amino acid, is what your body uses to make serotonin from your diet and can be of benefit when serotonin is low.
  • NTB2 is an amino acid complex which combines the precursor amino acids for serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine for healthy cognitive function. It is typically used during the maintenance phase of our customized brain balance programs, once neurotransmitter levels have normalized.  NTB2 is also utilized to maintain healthy appetite and metabolism.
